Local Seaside Wonder

North Beach, Maryland.  The Chesapeake Bay Bridge first opened in 1952 allowing travelers to access the Atlantic Ocean beaches. Before the bridge opening, people from the Washington, D.C. area would take their weekend retreats (often via train) to the western coast of the Chesapeake Bay and one of the most popular of those was North Beach in Calvert County.  The half-mile long waterfront Boardwalk hosts beautiful coastal homes and shops, restaurants, bakeries and more!

Here folks stroll along the iconic Boardwalk in North Beach.  Photo taken in Spring, 2018.
